Tips & ideas from a Roanoke, VA wedding planner coordinating a micro wedding in Lynchburg, VA.
Choosing the Perfect Micro Wedding Venue
Olivia & Jake couldn’t have picked a more beautiful location or asked for better weather! With a guestlist of only 30, they were able to celebrate their marriage out in nature while being surrounded by their closest loved ones. With a majority of their guests being from out of state, they wanted to make sure the location they chose was able to accommodate a majority of their family and wedding party to spend the weekend together.
Unique Touches
My favorite part of this wedding was how each aspect was a reflection of the couple - from getting married by Jake’s childhood youth pastor, to skipping the traditional wedding cake and opting for a gourmet cheesecake instead, they were very intentional about making the day their own.
A couple fun facts:
Being outdoors, one of the biggest challenges we had to overcome were the bugs! We opted for Thermacell mosquito devices to keep them at bay throughout the day, and I have to say they worked better than I expected!
They had a post-dinner coffee and espresso bar to keep everyone up and partying throughout the evening. Guests were even able to take home an individual serving of coffee as their favor.
They had access to the full flower farm and were able to explore and take photos on different parts of the property.
