We cannot recommend The Planning Bee highly enough, Lauren went ABOVE and BEYOND our expectations. Because of her we were able to fully relax, trust and let go because we knew we were in good hands. You’re incredible!

Meet the Team

Lauren Rothe

Lead Planner

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved planning and creating events. Regardless of it was a birthday, anniversary or holiday, we always celebrated big growing up. It wasn’t always fancy, but it was an excuse to spend time together and make memories. I can’t wait to help you bring your next celebration to life!

When I’m not planning, you’ll likely find my husband Jason and I out of town. We love to travel and take every opportunity to visit a favorite city or explore a new one. We frequent Orlando, Tampa, Williamsburg, Richmond and New York City (specifically for Broadway - we’ve seen over 50 in our 12 years together).

Kristina Smith

Lead Coordinator

With over 10 years in the events industry, Kristina has extensive knowledge of all things logistics. She also has a huge heart for her community and serves on the board for the Ronald McDonald House.

Office Manager

Scout has spent 11 of his last 12 years hiking and exploring the Roanoke Valley with Jason & Lauren. He would say his most important job is making sure to keep all cats, deer and groundhogs out of his backyard.

Celebrating Love, Supporting Paws

Your Wedding Supports Furry Friends

Around here, we have a heart for animals like Scout, that are still searching for their fur-ever homes, as well as for families working to keep their furry families with them, even when times are hard. Together, we make a difference for animals awaiting their fur-ever homes by also using your celebration as a beacon of hope and love. This is why we allow each couple we serve to choose the donation we make to the RVSPCA on their behalf!
